At the Gallipoli Houses you'll find a synergy of Turkish hospitality and European "savoir faire", which is reflected throughout the hotel and the services on offer.

At the same time an
environmentally & culturally sensitive approach was taken :

To preserve the balance with this small village, the accommodation was limited to 10 rooms and to blend in nicely, much attention was paid to the overall design of the hotel.

A special
effort has been made to create for the visitor an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and privacy.  Seven rooms have a terrace, whereas the remaining three have a balcony. To further emphasise this atmosphere of privacy, meals and drinks are served to residents only.

when to visit

the village

Eric,

A belated note to thank you very much for looking after me so well when I stayed with you in early July.  I thoroughly enjoyed everything about visiting Gallipoli, but the Gallipoli Houses were a particular highlight.  Your location is out-standing, by far the most convenient to the battlefields, and your hospitality was first class:  the room was great, the cooking terrific and the warmth of your welcome second to none.  I especially enjoyed our chat long into the evening.  I'm afraid to say that your status as a secret hideaway is under real threat-I have been telling everybody how wonder-ful you were!!  Please pass by thanks to Ozlem and every-body at the Gallipoli Houses.

The hotel is not really suitable for children under the age of 12 as there are no safety precautions or any kind nor is there any recreation for children.

We can only accept children of a younger age if they are attended at all times by the parents.

The Gallipoli Houses is a fully licensed hotel therefore offers a good range of alcoholic beverages, including beer, wines & spirits.

Looking for more information on what happened here in 1915 ?

Visit our
"the Gallipoli campaign" website.

A
large collection of pictures taken during numerous walks, complimented with period pictures and passages from the many books that have been written on this ill-fated campaign.  In no way is this an attempt to give an overview of the campaign, nor is this an online guidebook, but rather a kaleidoscope on the Gallipoli campaign.

Meals :

Breakfast (08h00-09h30) and dinner (20h00-21h30) are served in the restaurant.

Breakfast is of the sort that one saves for a beloved friend on a Sunday morning and includes an array of fresh local products.

"Turkish with a Twist”, is what we call the home-cooked dinners which follow the seasons and features the fresh local produce available.

Lunch is not served but a "
knapsack" can be prepared from the breakfast table for 15 YTL. (included are an “energy-bar” and  a soft drink of your choice)
